Venezuela The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is a tropical country located on the northern coast of South America. It borders Colombia to the west, Guyana to the east and Brazil to the south. The country is encompassed by a northern coastline of roughly 2,800 kilometers bordering the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean (Gobierno Bolivariano de Venezuela, 2010). The Venezuelan country encompasses a total area of approximately 912, 050 square kilometers, in which thirty thousand square kilometers are water, leaving the remainder as terrestrial area (Central Intelligence Agency, 2011). Venezuela is comprised of twenty-three states; Amazonas, Anzoátegui, Apure, Aragua, Barinas, Bolivar, Carabobo, Cojedes, Delta Amacuro, Falcon, Guárico, Lara, Merida, Miranda, Monagas, Nueva Esparta, Portuguesa, Sucre, Táchira, Trujillo, Vargas, Yaracuy, Zulia, one federal dependency, Dependencias Federales, and a capital district, Distrito Capital (Gobierno Bolivariano de Venezuela, 2010).

The paramount values of the Venezuelan people are influenced by the intristic elements of the Caribbean region. Moreover, there exists one sole important sector that the majority of the population of Venezuela agrees upon. This idea focuses on the conservation of water. The protection and preservation of water has generally become a topic to cover among all Venezuelans. Therefore, it has been speculated that the value of such resource in Venezuela has been increasing in the course of time and has led to an issue of major importance.
